  3. Ask AI + Search All Recordings

I would love to see a feature that allows you to search across all recordings as well as ask questions, such as via a RAG LLM setup. The benefits would be instead of searching in one recording at a time, being able to search or ask LLM questions across many recordings, with controls by folder, label, word, and / or timeframe.

  7. ability to pause and resume recordings

I am a college student and there are many times in class when we do a group activity in the middle of lecture then we go back to lecture and it would be nice to be able to pause so activities like that wouldn't be recorded, then you could resume after. This could maybe be done by a single press of the button, then there could be a short vibration, like half the start recording vibration, then when you push to resume, you could get a double quick vibration to let you know it's resumed, these actions would only work during recording, but it would be very nice.

  12. Use of Transcription Minutes

Once a transcription has been generated, it should not use more minutes to re-transcribe unless both transcriptions are being kept. Please consider.

  13. Free Unlimited Transcriptions On-device

Imagine unlimited transcriptions every month. Wouldn’t it be amazing? High transcriptions costs are the main limiting factor to extensive usage and adoption. We all know servers are expensive to run, so why not rely on our own personal computers for running the transcription for free? Whisper, the transcription tool from open ai, is open source and can be embedded in a Plaud app that can run on the user computer and run the transcription on premise for free. It might not be as fast as a server solution, but a base M1 mac can transcribe one hour of audio with the base model in 20-30minutes. Plaud phone app can ship the audio to the Plaud Cloud and a user from a mac/pc could decide to do the transcription from a computer Plaud app focused on transcriptions.

  14. Unlimited transcription tier

I would love a tier that doesn’t limit how much you can use the transcription and AI. I understand it would be more expensive and would prefer to have that as an option to avoid concern of running out of minutes and needing to buy one-off refills until my monthly limit resets.
